Recently I came back from my 3rd memorable trip to Iran.
In these pictures is Maharloo lake or also known as Salt late. We stopped there on our way bsck from Sarvestan (a palace from Sasanid era, which I will post later). It was my first personal experience with such a kind of lake and despite the fact it was almost dry it was amazing. 😊
It’s seasonal lake located about 26km southeast of Shiraz. The lake water typically evaporates by the end of summer and exposes white lake bed, as you can see in the pics. The surface area is about 600 km2.
