Last week I had a fabulous two nights at Matinabad Eco Resort, between Kashan and Esfahan. It was so good to have 2 days to myself in this quiet, beautiful place…I didn’t want to leave. On one side of the camp you have the desert… right there. No village to walk through first like other desert accommodation. Looking the other way you could admire towering snowy mountains. Beautiful! The place can have over 200 guests but if you avoid Thursday and Fridays you might be lucky enough to have the place entirely for yourself, as I did!! Friendly staff, nice meals (catered for vegetarian no problem), star gazing w telescope, bike hire, organic gardens, excellent clean facilities, wifi on the rooftop terrace, a sustainability focus and baby camels. .. what’s not to love?!
