Valiasr is a tree-lined street which is somehow dividing Tehran into western and eastern parts. It was built in 1922 to 1927. Cinemas, Parks, Tehran city theatre, Tehran rail-way station, shopping centers and many other landmarks are what make our memories of this street.
Valiasr has many important public places; the aim of this Tehran tour is to explore different urban spaces on this street or around it.
First we visit the Valiasr sq. then we walk to the art cultural house and then to the Tehran City Theater Complex. We shall continue our walk toward Tehran university main campus and visit the Engelab st. on this path. That’s where you meet many young people, book shops, cafes, galleries, colleges and more. Then we reach to Keshavarz Boulevard by passing neighborhoods around the university and back to the Vali’asr sq. There we can have a break in a café and discuss about our experience walking in the current cultural zone of Tehran.
