If you’re a woman concerned about being hot in Iran in summer, don’t be afraid to be comfortable. I complied with the rules (that I strongly disagree with) as little as I could. People stared but they did regardless of how covered I was and they kept being nice and friendly. Turban protected me from the sun and wasn’t hot to wear at all. Some women even asked me how I tied it.
NB: it is meant to be addressed to travellers concerned about the dress code as I was. I wouldn’t dare to lecture Iranian women on how to dress.
