A street sweeper wearing a face mask holds his broom in front of a graffiti-covered wall in Tehran’s Vali-e Asr Street. “At a time when we are struggling in Iran with the Coronavirus and amid social-distancing, having to wear face masks and avoid dangerous behavior; street sweepers are, due to the nature of their jobs, prone to the virus,” says the Tehran-based photographer Saba Taherian. “Most people leave their masks, gloves and used tissues in streets and water streams around the city, which itself leads to the spread of the virus among vulnerable people, including the street cleaners.”
رفتگری که ماسک به صورت دارد جارویش را در مقابل دیواری در خیابان ولی‌عصر در دست گرفته است. صبا طاهریان، عکاس ساکن تهران، میگوید: «در این روزها که در ایران گرفتار کرونا و در گیر و دار فاصله اجتماعی، استفاده از ماسک و دوری از رفتار پرخطر هستیم؛ رفتگران بواسطه شغلشان بیشتر در معرض خطرابتلا به کرونا هستند.» او اضافه میکند: «خیلی از مردم ماسک، دستکش و دستمال کاغذی آلوده خود را در معابر، سطح شهر و جوی‌های آب رها می کنند، که این خود باعث انتقال ویروس به افراد آسیب‌پذیر از جمله رفتگران می‌شود.»
