“I wanted to take a photo of these people against the rainbow that was formed behind them,” Hojjat Hamidi says. “The rainbow faded, but a conversation started and I took a few photos,” he says, describing his photo of a nomad family in mountains in northeastern Ardabil Province. “It’s just before sunset. He sent the child to bring the animals so they could go back home,” he says. “They live in the village of Janaghard, but spend the summer in the mountains of Sardabeh district, in stone houses they call ‘bineh’ in Azari Turkish dialect. There they have access to pastures for their livestock.” Hamidi says he is a firefighter whose hobby is to take photos. He has a great tendency to photograph nomads and villagers, which he attributes to the simplicity and love that he finds in the lives of those people. “I’m in love with the lives of simple people who live around me.”
حجت حمیدی میگوید: «رفته بودم از این دوستان با رنگین کمانی که پشت سرشون ایجاد شده بود عکس بگیرم. رنگین کمان محو شد ولی سر صحبت باز شد و چند تا عکس ازشون گرفتم.» این توصیف عکسی است که او از کوچ‌نشینانی در کوه‌های استان اردبیل گرفته است. او اضافه میکند: «دم غروبه و بچه رو فرستاده که حیوونا رو جمع کنن و برگردن خونه. این عزیزان از روستای جناقرد اردبیل هستند که فصل تابستون رو در ییلاق منطقه سردابه توی خونه‌های سنگیشون که در زبان ترکی “بینه” میگن میگذرونن؛ برای اینکه علوفه برای دامهاشون در دسترس هست.» حمیدی میگوید آتشنشان است و عکاسی را برای تفنن و گذران اوقات فراغت انجام میدهد. گرایش او به عکاسی از عشایر و روستاییان است؛ که به گفته خودش دلیلش سادگی و مهری است که او در وجود این مردم می‌یاید. او میگوید: «من عاشق داستان زندگی آدمای ساده‌ی دور و برم هستم.»
