As the temperature heats up, nomads living in the south migrate to the high mountains in the north, where they can graze their livestock. Malayer Plain, in western Hamedan Province, becomes the summer quarters for some of Iran’s nomadic tribes, offering them untouched, green nature and rich pastures, says Hamedan-based Masih Rafati, who took this photo earlier this month. Iran is home to more than one million nomads.
