Greece-Turkey Border Refugee Crisis

“Being a #refugee is much more than a political status. It is the most pervasive kind of cruelty that can be exercised against a human being. You are forcibly robbing this human being of all aspects that would make human life not just tolerable but meaningful in many ways.” This is a quote from Ai Weiwei’s documentary called “Human Flow”.

Unfortunately, there has been devastating news in the past few weeks about the #Greece-#Turkey border, as tens of thousands of lives are being exploited by the Turkish government. Greek police fires tear gas at crowds at the border crossing, people are being kept in inhuman conditions and many are attempting suicide. This is not the first time we are facing such a crisis and we should certainly not keep silent against this dehumanization happening to innocent lives.
